Conflict Resolution for Creative Teams
Taylor Wellbeing provides trauma-informed conflict-resolution support for teams working across film, television, theatre and other creative settings. Through structured conversations, mediation and reflective dialogue, we help individuals and teams address difficulties, improve communication and rebuild working relationships.
Conflict-resolution services are led by Sam Llewellyn, founder of Taylor Wellbeing. Sam brings more than twenty years’ experience as a psychotherapist and group facilitator, supported by four decades of professional experience across television production, learning and development, charities and community organisations. This breadth of experience enables her to facilitate sensitive conversations with confidence, compassion and an understanding of complex team dynamics.
Why Conflict Resolution Matters
Creative projects often bring together people with different perspectives, communication styles and ways of working. Tight deadlines, emotional pressure and challenging subject matter can sometimes lead to misunderstandings, tension or unresolved conflict.
When difficulties are addressed early and constructively, teams have an opportunity to understand different perspectives, establish healthier ways of communicating and move forward together. Our approach prioritises psychological safety, curiosity and mutual respect, creating space for difficult conversations to take place in a supportive and constructive way.
How we can help
Support is tailored to the needs of each organisation and may include:
Confidential one-to-one conversations and group mediation
Facilitated conversations and reflective dialogue
Conflict prevention and early intervention
Workshops exploring communication, boundaries and team dynamics
Practical strategies to strengthen collaboration and rebuild trust
Every organisation is different. We tailor our support to the needs of your team, your values and your working environment.
Our Approach
Taylor Wellbeing draws on a range of approaches when supporting organisations and teams. Our conflict-resolution work may include principles from Transactional Analysis (TA), a framework used in communication, management and organisational development.
TA helps people explore how their thoughts, feelings and behaviours influence relationships and team dynamics. Its three ego states—Parent, Adult and Child—can help participants understand how they communicate and respond to others, particularly during periods of stress or conflict.
Participants may also be invited to complete a personal style questionnaire to increase self-awareness and reflect on their communication patterns, individual strengths and areas for development.
By developing a greater understanding of themselves and others, individuals and teams can communicate more effectively, appreciate different perspectives and build healthier working relationships.
Working Better Together
Effective conflict resolution is not simply about resolving disagreements. It can help individuals draw on their strengths, recognise and appreciate the contributions of others, and develop greater respect for different perspectives and ways of working.
Differences within a team can be a source of creativity, learning and growth. What matters is how those differences are communicated, understood and managed. By developing healthier approaches to conflict, teams can build stronger relationships and work together more effectively.
